Just highlighting the hypocrisy of our legal system. All victims of traffic accidents in California are equal, but some are more equal than others [when the perpetrator is an independent contractor for Uber, rather than an illegal immigrant driving a commercial truck].

That’s not the metric under which Google is seen as a monopoly, and you know it.

I wouldn't say NFTs per se, but I do think a blockchain could help here. If you can point to a specific block that documents that you purchased a copy of a piece of media, you should also be able to transfer that block to another person.

Big capitalism has a way of taking things that should be fair and stacking the deck in their favor.

Banning binding arbitration means that class actions can happen.

That's irrelevant to the point I'm making. Class action is, almost by definition, a case where there is unequal power.

Throwing away proprietary cables is a sin. Throwing away standard commodity USB cables is not so much

Give them away to a thrift shop instead. Then you've helped somebody else who will find that cable in the thrift shop. So they can put it on ebay and sell it back to you when you need it two months later.

Yeah its hard enough when you need a Mini USB cable. When you need the proprietary RS232 cable for an old piece of hardware, at short notice, that stings.
